Jennifer Lawrence could pretty much name
her price and project and Jennifer Lawrence would likely get whatever she wanted
these days.
And it sounds like the "Hunger Games"
hottie is already a shoo-in for the forthcoming Lionsgate adaptation of Jeanette
Walls' memoir "The Glass Castle."
Per the official synopsis, "Jeannette
Walls grew up with parents whose ideals and stubborn nonconformity were both
their curse and their salvation. Rex and Rose Mary Walls had four children. In
the beginning, they lived like nomads, moving among Southwest desert towns,
camping in the mountains. Rex was a charismatic, brilliant man who, when sober,
captured his children's imagination, teaching them physics, geology, and above
all, how to embrace life fearlessly. Rose Mary, who painted and wrote and
couldn't stand the responsibility of providing for her family, called herself an
"excitement addict." Cooking a meal that would be consumed in fifteen minutes
had no appeal when she could make a painting that might last forever.
"Later, when the money ran out, or the
romance of the wandering life faded, the Walls retreated to the dismal West
Virginia mining town—and the family—Rex Walls had done everything he could to
escape. He drank. He stole the grocery money and disappeared for days. As the
dysfunction of the family escalated, Jeannette and her brother and sisters had
to fend for themselves, supporting one another as they weathered their parents'
betrayals and, finally, found the resources and will to leave home.
What is so astonishing about Jeannette
Walls is not just that she had the guts and tenacity and intelligence to get
out, but that she describes her parents with such deep affection and generosity.
Hers is a story of triumph against all odds, but also a tender, moving tale of
unconditional love in a family that despite its profound flaws gave her the
fiery determination to carve out a successful life on her own terms."
Actress Emma Roberts steps out of her
usual chic, good-girl wardrobe to don a see-through white mesh dress and just a
bikini during the 2012 Coachella Music Festival. Less was more in the over
100-degree weather, and the 21-year-old Roberts took the opportunity to show her
edgier side with the revealing, form-fitting ensemble.

Just months after the tragic death of
singing legend Whitney Houston, TMZ has obtained the 9-1-1 calls that were
placed moments after her body was found.
The caller, who is a Beverly Hilton
security team member, advises the operator that a "46-year-old female" was
"found in the bathroom," adding he was "not sure if she fell or if she was in
the bathroom with the water."
When the 9-1-1 operator asks for more
information, the worker explains that he was originally notified by an "irate"
woman with whom he could not obtain much information from.
After inquiring a few last questions, the
operator says emergency personnel would be on their way to the hotel as soon as
possible, but at this point personnel is not informed that the "46 year-old
woman" was that of Miss Houston.
As previously reported by GossipCenter,
the "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" songstress died in an accidental drowning that
was "due to, or as a consequence of" the effects of atherosclerotic heart
disease and cocaine use.
Houston, who was 48 years-old at the time
of her death, passed away on the night of February 11 and was later laid to rest
in her home state of New Jersey.
Whitney Houston unexpectedly passed away
two months ago, and Whitney Houston's death has been under investigation ever
since.
And according to a newly-released report
from TMZ via the Beverly Hills Police Department, the "I Wanna Dance With
Somebody" songstress' demise didn't involve any foul play.
Up to this point, the LA County Coroner's
Office has ruled that Houston died as a result of drowning in her hotel room
bathtub.
Additionally, the cops found cocaine in
her room, and the coroner found the same drug in Whitney's
bloodstream.

It's no secret that Bobby Brown has never
had a great relationship with his late ex-wife Whitney Houston's family, and
there's a whole new war on the horizon.
According to a report from TMZ, Houston's
mother Cissy is petrified that Brown is trying to get into the good graces of
his daughter Bobbi Kristina in hopes of padding his bank account with Whitney's
fortune.
And since Bobby is essentially broke,
it's no wonder he sees an opportunity. Whitney's estate is said to be worth $20
million, with the possibility that it could double with posthumous record
sales.
However, Brown's camp has declared that
he just wants to make amends with everyone during this difficult time, and that
he has no ulterior motive
It was a tremendous blow to her family
when Whitney Houston passed away earlier this year, and now the official death
report has shaken them once more.
According to a report from TMZ, the "I
Will Always Love You" songstress' Autopsy Report from the LA County Coroner's
office has "devastated" her mother Cissy Houston, leaving her
"inconsolable."
Mama Houston was reduced to hysterical
tears when she was told that the coroner found a white powder with a drug spoon
and other paraphernalia in the hotel room.
Cissy told her friends that she's afraid
people will only remember Whitney for her drug use, rather than her amazing
voice and loving spirit.
"This is the type of thing people should
remember Whitney for. No one's perfect. Only the Lord can judge" , said
Houston.

It's been almost two months since the
tragic death of singing legend Whitney Houston, and on Wednesday (April 4) the
final coroner's report saw release - with the contents being laden with
previously unknown details.
As previously reported by GossipCenter,
the 48-year-old singer was found underwater in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton
hotel room by her assistant on the night of February 11th.
On top of that, officials confirmed that
there were trace amounts of cocaine in Houston's system and that she died from
"accidental drowning." The report also goes on to paint a more vivid picture of
what the room had looked like at the time of death, including an open bottle of
champagne and a dozen prescription pill bottles throughout the room.
Upon completion of the report, Kristy
McCracken of the Beverly Hills Police Department concluded that Miss Houston
"possibly overdosed on a narcotic substance, prescription medications, over the
counter medications and alcohol."
Though the documents revealed that
Whitney's overall body was described as "well built, muscular and fairly well
nourished," toxicology tests showed multiple drugs and medications in her system
including, cocaine, Benadril, the muscle relaxer Flexeril, marijuana and
Xanax.
According to the official documents there
was also "a small spoon with a white crystal like substance in it and a rolled
up piece of white paper."

If the opportunity ever presented itself,
Rihanna is hoping to make it known she would "love" the chance to play Whitney
Houston in a biopic based on the singer's life.
Opening up to The Press Association,
Rihanna, 24, discussed her attachment to the legendary vocalist, who died
tragically on February 11 at the age of 48.
"My first song that I remember falling
love with was a Whitney Houston song: 'I Will Always Love You,'" Rihanna shared.
"It was really inspiring and it made me develop a passion for music, so really,
she's partly responsible for me being here in this industry."
The "We Found Love" singer added she
understands the type of commitment needed to undertake such a meaningful
part.
"That would be something that I would
have to give my entire life to do, because I would really want to pull it off,"
Rihanna told reporters. "That's a huge, huge role and whoever does it has to do
a good job."
On her final day alive, Houston
complained she had a sore throat for several days, and an assistant suggested
she take a bath, according to the report. By the time her assistant returned,
Houston had been submerged for at least an hour, the report
estimates.
Investigators initially expected drugs or
alcohol played a role in Houston's death, but no alcohol was found in her
system. They eventually ruled her death an accidental drowning, with heart
disease and cocaine use cited as contributing factors.
Houston's death came just hours before a
pre-Grammy gala thrown by her mentor Clive Davis. She was attempting another
comeback by starring in a remake of the film "Sparkle," in which she plays the
mother of three girls who form a singing group and struggle with fame and drug
addiction.
A trailer released Monday featured
Houston prominently, including a snippet of her performance of the classic
gospel song "His Eye Is on the Sparrow."
Toxicology results also showed Houston
had marijuana, Xanax, the Amuscle relaxant Flexeril, and the allergy medication
Benadryl in her system. None of those drugs were considered factors in her
death.
The singer also had buildup of plaque in
her arteries that can restrict blood flow. Winter has said the condition is
common in drug users. The report indicated a 60 percent blockage in the singer's
right coronary artery.
The singer had battled addiction for
years, but friends and family have said she appeared committed to making a
comeback in the months before her death.
"The biggest devil is me. I'm either my
best friend or my worst enemy," Houston told ABC's Diane Sawyer in an infamous
2002 television interview with then-husband Bobby Brown by her side.

Whitney Houston was found face-down in a
bathtub with cocaine in her system and drug paraphernalia on the bathroom
counter nearby, investigators revealed in the singer's final autopsy report
released Wednesday.
The report delivered a grim accounting of
Houston's final hours nearly three months ago. The singer complained of a sore
throat before an assistant suggested she take a bath before the start of a
pre-Grammy Awards gala. By the time the assistant returned, Houston had drowned
and was lying face down in the tub.
Investigators who scoured the room later
found in the bathroom a "spoon with a white crystal like substance in it," and a
white powdery substance in a drawer and on a mirror, according the report. The
report does not specifically identify the substances as cocaine, although
toxicology tests discovered the drug in Houston's heart and
extremities.
The report provides a sad footnote to
Houston's life, revealing the toll the singer's drug use took on her
body.
When coroner's officials said two weeks
ago that Houston died from accidental drowning, they also revealed that cocaine
had played a role in her death. The office has said there were signs of both
chronic and recent use.
An investigator noted a hole in the
singer's nose, listed under "history of substance abuse."
Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said he
could not discuss how recently Houston may have used cocaine, or other details
of the final report.
Beverly Hills police Lt. Mark Rosen said
the investigation is still open and he could not comment on the findings. The
department has said there did not appear to be signs of foul play.

Viewers got a first glimpse of Whitney
Houston's final on-screen performance Monday, when NBC's "Today" show premiered
a trailer for the film "Sparkle."
A remake of the 1976 original, "Sparkle"
stars Houston as the mother of three girls who form a singing group and struggle
with fame and drug addiction. A longer clip also debuted on Yahoo!
Movies.
The trailer displayed the daughters,
including "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks, in performance. Houston is
prominent throughout, at one point singing the classic gospel song "His Eye Is
on the Sparrow."
She also tells one of her daughters: "I
always knew you had the gift. It makes me feel like I did something right. Don't
lose it."
Debra Martin Chase, who is a producer of
the film, said she had mixed emotions with the trailer's release.
"On the one hand, I'm so excited about
the movie and we're really happy with how it turned out," she said in a phone
interview Monday. "(But) just to have it said yet again that this is Whitney's
last performance, it's hard. It's hard."
Houston is listed as the executive
producer of the movie, which had already finished filming in Detroit when the
superstar died Feb. 11 at age 48 in Beverly Hills, Calif., on the eve of the
Grammy Awards. An autopsy has shown she accidentally drowned in the bathtub,
with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributing factors.
There is no mention made of drugs in the
trailer, and Chase declined to say whether it would be a focal part of the movie
as it was in the original, saying she didn't want to talk specifically about the
plotlines until closer to the movie's release date.
She also added that the movie was not
altered to increase Houston's time in the film in the wake of her
death.
"She is an integral, very much an
integral part of the movie, but she's not one of the girls," she said. "She
plays an important role, she's throughout the movie, but she's not one of the
main characters."
